To provide a pump control system capable of maintaining the operation of a plurality of pumps at the optimum efficiency point even if the pump characteristics are degraded with the elapse of time by minimizing energy consumption by operating the plurality of pumps at the optimum efficiency point.
This pump control system for controlling the operation of a plurality of pumps includes a storage section which stores an operating pump quantity determination table in which the quantity of the pumps to be operated according to a distributed flow and a delivery pressure is determined and a flow distribution table in which the distribution of the distributed flow to each pump according to the quantity of the pumps, distributed flow, and delivery pressure is determined, an operating pump quantity determination section for determining the quantity of the pumps to be operated based on the distributed flow and delivery pressure, referring to the operating pump quantity determination table, a distributed flow calculation section for calculating the distribution of the distributed flow to each pump based on the quantity of the pumps to be operated and the distribution flow and delivery pressure determined by the flow distribution table, and a target rotational speed calculation section for setting the target rotational speed of each pump based on the quantity of the pumps to be operated which is stored in the operating pump quantity determination table and the distribution of the distributed flow to each pump obtained by the distributed flow calculation section.
