Abstract:
To provide a pump device which achieves reduction of costs and simplification of a structure, etc., to prevent salt damage and secure functional reliability without performing expensive rust-proofing treatment, and to provide an outboard motor equipped with the pump device.SOLUTION: A pump device includes a housing that includes an insertion hole, into which a drive shaft driven by an engine is inserted, and is applied to an outboard motor. The pump device includes a resin cover member 50 which is fixed to the housing H to cover an outer wall surface 10a of the housing H in a region having the insertion hole 11a. The cover member 50 has a small-diameter insertion hole 54a having an inner diameter smaller than the insertion hole 11a to allow the drive shaft 3 to be rotatably inserted thereto.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
