Abstract:

To provide a pump device for pressure feeding a high viscosity fluid that can pressure feed a large amount of a high viscosity fluid without causing pulsation, and prevents air from being taken in and thus has the advantage of reducing a residual amount of the high viscosity fluid that can't be pressure fed and remains in a drum.

The pump device includes a follow plate 14 that contacts an inner sidewall of the drum 12 liquid-tightly, a pump attached to the follow plate 14, a driving motor 28 to drive the pump, and a moving means 18 to move the follow plate 14. The pump is a trochoid pump 16 arranged so that the axis thereof is orthogonal to the liquid level of the high viscosity fluid. The suction port 3408 of the trochoid pump 16 is opened on the end face 2402 of the follow plate 14 at one end side in the axial direction of the trochoid pump 16. The discharge port 3608 of the trochoid pump 16 is located at the other end side in the axial direction of the trochoid pump 16.
