To issue a warning of a pump failure due to cavitation or leakage of a pump device which sucks a fluid from a suction port and discharges the fluid from a discharge port without storing the fluid in a pressure tank.
The pump device includes: a pressure variation computation means 42 for storing a detected value of a pressure sensor and computing pressure variation in a predetermined time; a comparison means 43 for comparing the value of the pressure variation computed by the pressure variation computation means 42 with a preset value; a fault determination means 44 of determining a fault in the pump when the comparison means 43 determines that the value of the pressure variation exceeds the preset value while operation means 31 does not change driving force of a driving source 30; and a warning means 50 of issuing the warning when the fault determination means 44 determines the fault in a pump 26.
