This pump facility 1 having at least one horizontal shaft pump 10 comprises: a plurality of water-sealed vacuum pumps 20 for performing a flooding operation to fill the casing 11 of the horizontal shaft pump 10 with water when the horizontal shaft pump 10 is started; and a water supply pump 24 for supplying a makeup water to each of the water-sealed vacuum pumps 20. When the pump facility performs the flooding operation of one or more of the horizontal shaft pumps 10, the water-sealed vacuum pumps 20 are operated simultaneously.
