To provide a pump gate which can not only forcibly drain from a low level side to a high level side but also can generate electric power by naturally flowing down water from the high level water level side to the low water level side.
In the pump gate, a control device 47 supplies electricity to a submerged pump 14 of a pump 4 on the basis of the water level difference of the inner water level Hin and the outer water level Hout detected by an inner water level meter 45 and an outer water level meter 46 and the pump operation in which a flap valve 28 is in the usual condition and the water wheel operation in which no electric power is supplied to the submerged motor 14 of the pump 4 and the flap valve is in a forcibly open condition, are constituted to be changed over to each other.
