Title:
PUMP AND INK-JET PRINTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3849661
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump of a relatively simple structure, of little manufacturing cost, easy to miniaturize, hard to develop troubles, and of good pump performance, and an ink-jet printer having the same mounted thereon.
SOLUTION: The pump 30 mounted on the ink-jet printer is provided with a rotor 40 rotating at an eccentric position on a case 31 and a plate member 50 retained slidably in relation to the rotor 40, and delivers ink sucked from a suction hole 31a from a delivery hole 31b by rotating the plate member 50 together with the rotor 40 under a condition that a rim part thereof contacts inner surface of the 31. The rim part of the plate member 50 has a shape of which thickness gets thinner as it gets closer to a tip. Consequently, liquid tightness is improved and pump performance is improved as compared with a pump using a rigid plate member since the plate member flexibly sticks to the inner surface of the case 31.
