Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm the soundness of a flap valve in a simple configuration without raising a flap valve on a water level in a pump machine field using a horizontal shaft pump.SOLUTION: A pump machine field comprises: a suction sump; a discharge sump; and pump equipment for pressure feeding water stored in the suction sump to the discharge sump. The pump equipment includes: a horizontal shaft pump for pumping up water from the suction sump and pressure feeding; a delivery valve provided on the downstream side of the horizontal shaft pump for opening/closing the flow of water discharged by the horizontal shaft pump to the downstream side; a delivery pipe connecting between the delivery valve and the discharge sump; a flap valve provided at an end part of the delivery pipe on the side of the discharge sump; a branch line branched from the half way of the delivery pipe; and sucking means for sucking at least one of the water and air existing in the interior of the delivery pipe via the branch line.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
