Abstract:

To provide an inexpensive, compact pump structure for a hot-water supply device with excellent performance of pouring hot water, with a simplified structure by reducing the number of parts, and with high dependability.

A reciprocally rotatable impeller 4 of this pump device consists of a helical part 6 and a centrifugal blade 7. The centrifugal blade 7 is supported oscillatably around a shaft nearly parallel to the center shaft 5 of the impeller 4. The pump structure also has a first retaining means and a second retaining means. The first retaining means is for retaining the centrifugal blade 7 in such a first posture that the water resistance is the least and the centrifugal blade 7 moved by the water resistance will not apply centrifugal force to hot water when the impeller 4 rotates reversely. The second retaining means is for retaining the centrifugal blade 7 in such a second posture that the water resistance is larger than that in the first posture and the centrifugal blade 7 moved by the water resistance when the impeller 4 rotates in the normal direction will apply centrifugal force to hot water.
