Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a pump particularly useful in respirator apparatus, by including a cylinder between the inlet and outlet, and a piston reciprocatable axially within the cylinder and dividing its interior into an inlet chamber and an outlet chamber. CONSTITUTION: When a motor M rotates in one direction, the rotor 17 of the motor moves a screw 21 via a nut 18, so that a piston 13 is moved in one direction to shrink the outlet chamber Co, therefore air is pushed out from an outlet one-way valve 8. At that time a one-way valve 30 is closed, so the air in the inlet chamber Ci does not inter the outlet chamber Co. When the motor M rotates in the opposite direction, the piston 13 is moved to the opposite direction. Thus air is sucked from the inlet chamber Ci, through the one-way valve 30 to the outlet chamber Co. The piston 13 is supported by a bearing 19 and a seal 28 unrestrainedly for axial and rotary movements.
