To provide a pump system in which a plurality of pumps can be driven impartially with a simple constitution.
An air vent valve 26 is connected to a suitable portion of a lifting pipe 15 of each of a plurality of pump units 11 and an advance setting valve 27, a water level regulating valve 28 for starting a pumping-up operation, and a check valve 29 are connected to the air vent valve 26 in parallel. The advance setting valve 27 of the pump unit 11 to be operated first is opened and other advance setting valves are closed. The set pressure of the water level regulating valve 28 for starting the pumping-up operation is regulated to regulate the air pressure in a pump 14. Therefore, if the water level in a water suction tank 12 rises, the water level can be made different since the pumping-up operation of each pump unit 11 having different capacity is started. Accordingly, the order to start the pumping-up operation of each pump unit can be set arbitrarily, and thus each pump can be driven impartially.
