In a pumping mechanism 30 for feeding injection water to a water-jet loom by energizing a spring 5, as it is accompanied by the inhalation motion of the plunger, and allowing the plunger 3 to feed the injection water to the weft-inserting nozzle by the elastic force of the energized spring 5, a resonance inhibitor is attached to positively inhibit the spring wire 5a from resonating at a prescribed timing, particularly when the spring 5 is compressed. This resonance inhibitor is constituted with, for example, an elastic material 12 as a means for constraining at least the spring wire 5a, when the spring 5 is compressed and set between the wires 5a of the spring 5. This elastic material 12 has a thickness larger than the interval of the spring wire 5a, when the spring 5 is compressed at maximum.
