To provide a pump that assures excellent performance over an extended service life without causing abnormal wear in the wear ring in spite of foreign matter like debris contained in the pumping fluid.
In the pump having a wear ring 12c, high density debris fluid is discharged to a great distance from an impeller 1 in the centrifugal direction. A passage 4 is formed on the outermost peripheral portion of the inside a volute easing 12, which extends along the outer peripheral shape. Holes 5a to 5d opened in the radial direction are formed in the intermediate position of the passage 4. The high density debris pumping fluid discharged from the impeller 1 that turns within the volute easing 12 is introduced into the passage 4 through the openings 5a to 5d so as to be exhausted therefrom.
