Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump which can suppresses an increase of a lift at shutoff time.SOLUTION: A pump comprises: an outer cylinder casing in which an internal passage 8 reaching a discharge port 18 from a suction port 17 is formed; an impeller which is accommodated in the outer cylinder casing, takes in fluid from the suction port 17 and sends the fluid toward the discharge port 18; and a decompression mechanism 51 which makes the fluid circulating in the internal passage of a discharge side rather than a front edge of the impeller so that pressure in the internal passage of the discharge side rather than the front edge of the impeller is lowered to prescribed pressure or lower at shutoff time of a passage of piping 41 by a three-way valve 42 arranged at the piping 41 which is connected to the discharge port 18.
