Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a centrifugal pump device wherein heat generation caused by friction is suppressed, thus being able to be used under conditions at presence of dangerous gas or vapor.
CONSTITUTION: A centrifugal pump device 12 has a drive shaft 14, an engine (motor means) 18 for driving the drive shaft 14, and a housing 28. The housing 28 surrounds the drive shaft 14. Openings 26, 26' are formed between the housing 28 and the drive shaft 14. The centrifugal pump has an impeller associated with the drive shaft 14 in the housing 28. A blade 32 of the impeller 38 is inclinationally disposed at a space with respect to the housing 28. The housing 28 has a fluid outlet 23 extending in a tangential direction.
