PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump device capable of reducing water conduction resistance in water suction piping, improving cavitation performance, and shortening a time until water discharge start.SOLUTION: A pump device comprises: a water suction port 21 to which a water suction hose 24 is connected; a water discharge port 22 to which a water discharge hose is connected; a water suction pipe 25 that connects the water suction port 21 to a pump inlet 31 of a pump 33; a check valve 40 that connects with a pump outlet 32 of the pump 33; and a water discharge pipe 26 that connects the check valve 40 to the water discharge port 22. The water suction pipe 25 is a diffuser connection whose passage cross section area on the pump 33 side is larger than that on the water suction port 21 side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
