Title:
PUMPING STATION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1161971
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To solve a defect, in which the burdens of pumps installed to pump wells on the downstream side are increased, while changing the quantity of diversion to the pump wells in response to a demand by rationalizing the quantity of the diversion of water and scum, residue, grits, etc., washed away to a pair of the pump wells from an inflow waterway by flush.

When scum, residue, grits, etc., are deposited on the base of an inflow waterway 1, a gate 12 mounted in the upstream of the main waterway 1 is closed and water is stored, and a large quantity of water is discharged suddenly to the main waterway 1, made to interfere in the water-conveyance surface 13A of a flexible wall 13 as shown in the arrows Y1, diverted to a lateral communicating passage 5 and introduced into pump wells 3 while a flow interfering in no water-conveyance surface 13A is diverted to a lateral communicating passage 4 as shown in the arrows Y2 and introduced into pump wells 2. The quantities of diversion to the lateral communicating passage 5 and the lateral communicating passage 4 are adjusted by moderating the quantity of the flexible wall 13 projected to the cross direction in the inflow waterway 1 by operating a flexible-wall driving device 14.
