Abstract:

PURPOSE: A punch for boring holes that is made of cemented carbide is coated with titanium nitride on the surface in a specified thickness through ion-plating process, thus producing the titled punch free from seizing and breaking at the top edge.

CONSTITUTION: A punch 1 made of cemented carbide used for boring nozzle holes on a spinneret is coated with titanium nitride films 4 by the ion-plating method in a thickness of 0.01W1μ.
