Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turret punch press system automatically monitoring the wear condition of tools mounted on a punch press or an automatic tool exchange device.
SOLUTION: A system control device receives data 95 specifying tools mounted on a punch press, compares the data with data 97 specifying tools used actually four punching, determines tools which are the tools used actually for punching and not mounted on the punch press, and controls an automatic tool exchange device 7 so that the determined tools are mounted on the punch press. The turret punch press control device 3 performs also a punching simulation 85 according to an NC program 87. Based on this simulation, the number of impacts given from each tool to a material during punching is calculated. The amount of wear of the tools mounted on the punch press and automatic tool exchange device is determined by the number of the impacts.
