Abstract:
The device comprises a punch guide plate 9 and a complementary holder ring 2 between which is located a workpiece 5, such as a dish, of unfired ceramic material. Upon lowering of a press post 13 punches 6, guided in the guide plate 9, are caused to extend through and perforate the workpiece 5. The punches 6 are in groups connected to respective punch plates 7 which in turn are connected by respective bolts to the post 13. The guide plate 9, the punches 6 and the holder ring 2 are made of plastics material, being produced, for instance, by preparing accurate plaster of paris models and using such models to form casting moulds from which the said plastic parts are moulded.
