PURPOSE: To provide a tool capable of punching a plate with good finish even when the hole is large in diameter and the plate is thick in thickness.

CONSTITUTION: This punch tool is provided with a punch tool main body 4 having the first cutting edge section 21 at the tip and a preceding hole punch member 24 having the second cutting edge section 25 protruded to the tip side on the inside. The first cutting edge section 21 is formed on a cylindrical section 20c formed on the punch tool main body 4, and a plate material relief recess 22 is formed in the cylindrical section 20c. The preceding hole punch member 24 is axially movably fitted to the guide holes 23A, 23B of the punch tool main body 4, and it is protrusively excited by a spring 28. A slag drop piece 26 is provided in the plate material relief recess 22 of the preceding hole punch member 24.
