To provide a puppet with simple mechanisms which can respond to commands at high speed and rarely gets out of order by operating a solenoid by way of an operation unit according to electric signals obtained through a mike or from various sound sources, and by handling cords connected to the puppet at several parts.

An operation unit 2 of this puppet is to process inputted electric signals obtained through a mike 6 or from various sound sources and operate an electric solenoid as a power source. Cords 8... at several parts connected to the puppet 1 on a base 3 with decorative illumination boards 17 and 18 are pulled back and forth with this power so that the puppet moves as if dancing by matching with a rhythm. At the time, a sound generator 9 attached at one end of the cylinder of the electric solenoid 7 generates rhythmical sound. The hands, arms, legs, etc., of this puppet 1 may be moved separately by operating a keyboard 13.
