Abstract:
To produce a pure water production system which can stably feed water whose hardness content is removed to an EDI device in a system where a softening device is provided between a reverse osmosis membrane device and the EDI device.SOLUTION: A pure water production system 1 according to the present invention comprises: a reverse osmosis membrane device 10 which separates raw water into permeating water and concentrated water with a reverse osmosis membrane; a softening device 20 which produces intermediate treated water obtained by removing a hardness content from the permeating water by ion exchange; an EDI device 40 which produces treated water obtained by removing an ion from the intermediate treated water by electric regeneration type desalination; an outlet hardness detector 32 which detects a hardness of the intermediate treated water flowing out of the softening device 20; and a control device which has a hardness criterion control unit 341 which causes the softening device 20 to perform regeneration operation when a detected value of the outlet hardness detector 32 reaches a predetermined hardness set value or higher.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
