Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a purification process for diphenyl ether in which protonic contaminants such as phenol, alkylphenols or the like difficult to be removed by conventional techniques can be readily excluded.
CONSTITUTION: The purification process for diphenyl ethers is characterized by contact of crude diphenyl ether with isocyanate followed by distillation for separation.
