To provide a method for purifying fructose-2,6-bisphosphoric acid, enabling to easily remove fructose-1,6-bisphosphoric acid which is a by-product on the synthesis of the fructose-2,6-bisphosphoric acid and is highly difficult to separate from the fructose-2,6-bisphosphoric acid, and thereby enabling to obtain the highly pure fructose-2,6-bisphosphoric acid.
This method for purifying fructose-2,6-bisphosphoric acid from a solution containing the fructose-2,6-bisphosphoric acid and fructose-1,6- bisphosphoric acid comprises treating the solution containing the fructose-2,6- bisphosphoric acid and the fructose-1,6-bisphosphoric acid with an aldolase and an enzyme acting on products from the fructose-1,6-bisphosphoric acid by the action of the aldolase.
