To provide a purification method and an apparatus of soil easily and surely purifying soil by repeatedly washing soil without disturbing the ground in the whole region of soil containing pollutants.
Soil containing pollutants is purified by repeatedly conducting: pumping up of polluted groundwater W1 by a pumping means 10; purification of the pumped-up polluted groundwater W1 by a purification plant 20; magnetic field treatment of purified water W2 obtained by purifying the polluted groundwater W1 by a magnetic treatment machine 30; supply of the magnetic field-treated water W3 obtained by magnetic field-treatment of purified water W2 to the ground G via a water passage 40; and raising of a groundwater level lowered by pumping up of the polluted groundwater W1 to a given level by temporarily stopping pumping up of water.
