Abstract:

To provide a purification method by which molybdenum in an alkali tungstate solution is efficiently removed through a simple treatment process.

The method for purifying an alkali tungstate solution comprises adjusting the pH of a sodium tungstate solution to 7-9.5 by diaphragm electrolysis using a cation exchange membrane, or adjusting the pH of the alkali tungstate solution to 7-9.5 by adding sulfuric acid or acetic acid in place of the diaphragm electrolysis, adding a sulfide and a copper compound to the solution after the pH adjustment to thereby form a molybdenum-containing precipitate, and separating the precipitate by solid-liquid separation to thereby achieve molybdenum removal.
