Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a purification process capable of efficiently removing slight amounts of carbon monoxide, oxygen and carbon dioxide gas in an olefin even at a low temperature.
CONSTITUTION: This olefin purification process is characterized by the catalytic adsorption and removal of slight amounts of carbon monoxide, oxygen and carbon dioxide gas from an olefin containing at least slight amounts of carbon monoxide, oxygen and/or carbon dioxide gas by contacting the crude olefin with Raney-copper in gaseous phase at a low temperature.
