PURPOSE: To provide a method for purifying an alkaline protease by removing a pigment relating to cloudiness, coloring and odor in the alkaline protease preparation.
CONSTITUTION: This method for preparing a highly purified alkaline protease (the alkaline protease is obtained from a fermented broth of Bacillus licheniformis or Bacillus alcalophilus) is performed by generating an alkaline protease solution by separating an alkaline protease from cells and solids suspended in the fermented broth, concentrating the alkaline protease solution, adding a hydrolase and sodium chloride to the concentrated alkaline protease, separating alkaline protease from hydrolyzed polymer impurities by subjecting the mixture to incubation, isolating the alkaline protease from pigments, and recovering purified alkaline protease precipitate.
