To provide a push button switching device in which a feeling of operation is favorable and sure switching operation can be performed regardless of a size of a button and the arrangement of a switch.
The button 21 has a rib 25 protruded to the outside. The rib 25 contacts with a face at the substrate 12 side of a cover panel 11. By this, even if a force is applied on a side far from the switch 15 in the longitudinal direction of the button 21, and the button 21 is brought into a state that its one side is pushed, the button 21 forms a "lever" having a contact part with the rib 25 and the cover panel 11 as a fulcrum. For that reason, as for the "lever" having a part to which a force of the button 21 is applied as a stress point and having the contact part with the rib 25 and the cover panel 11 as the fulcrum, the contact part of the button 21 and the switch 15 becomes a working point. As a result, the button 21 applies the force to the switch 15 regardless of a position of the switch 15 and the stress point to which the force is applied.
