Abstract:
A push-to-open lock and a washing machine. The push-to-open lock comprises a latch (4) and a push-to-open lock body (5). The latch (4) is movably inserted into the push-to-open lock body (5). A cam (7) is mounted in the push-to-open lock body (5). The cam (7) is provided with a groove for engaging and locking with an end lock hook (21) of the latch (4). A flat lock spring (8) is further mounted in the push-to-open lock body (5). One end of the flat lock spring (8) is fixed, and the other end is provided with a locker (24) for engaging with a locker slideway on the cam (7) to lock or unlock rotation of the cam (7). The cam (7) and the flat lock spring (8) combine to form the push-to-open lock, such that a user only needs to apply an external pushing force to the latch (4) to control the cam (7) to rotate correspondingly in order to cause the push-to-open lock to lock automatically or unlock with a push. In addition, a detergent box (100) controlled by the push-to-open lock and pushed out by an elastic assembly is installed on a washing machine, such that only a slight external pushing force is required to cause the detergent box (100) to be locked automatically or to be opened with a push.
