Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a push rod which can prevent jumping or bouncing at high speed rotation of an engine and can improve high speed performance of the engine because of its light weight and high rigidity, and also can decrease in a valve system as its coefficient of thermal expansion is small.
CONSTITUTION: This push rod is a push rod 10 for valve system which consists of, a push rod body 16 made of high rigidity ceramic material such as silicon nitride, etc., and a cylindrical coating body 18 made of heat contractable rubber to be mounted to the outer round face of the push rod body 16.
