To provide a long life push switch preventing a contact part from being deformed by push operation and allowing a contact to be surely switched over.

This push switch comprises cases 1 and 17 formed with synthetic resin, a fixed contact 4 buried in the cases 1 and 17 so that a part thereof can be exposed from the cases 1 and 17, and a movable contact 6 allowed to come into contact with and separate from the fixed contact 4 by an operating member 10. The fixed contact 4 comprises a contact part 4a allowed to come into contact with and separate from the movable contact 6. The rear surface side of the contact part 4a on the opposite side of the surface allowed to come into contact with and separate from the movable contact 6 is supported by a receiving part 2b provided on the case 1. A hole 2a extending from the rear surface of the fixed contact 4 is formed in the case 1.
