Abstract:
To provide a PWM controller capable of achieving high reliability by materializing a protective function against a short circuit of a power supply end or a signal line which may occur in a motor controller without necessity for use of another element for cost reduction in the motor controller.
The PWM controller includes: a plurality of FETs and an FET driver 500; a comparator 400 that compares a current value of the FET to an overcurrent reference value; and a microcomputer 200 that performs control of a motor M and a circuit protective function and, when the current value of the FET is larger than the overcurrent reference value, turns off the FET driver 500 in accordance with a result of the comparator 400.
