Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PWM modulation device enhancing the resolution of a PWM modulator, and to provide an audio signal output device to which the PWM modulation device is applied.SOLUTION: A PWM modulation device 180 includes a PWM modulator 18 inputting upper N bits, out of the (N+1) bit output from a noise shaper 16, a rising/falling edge detector 26 for inputting the PWM output signal of the PWM modulator and detecting the rising/falling edge, a delay circuit 30 inputting the PWM output signal, and outputting a PWM output delay signal by delaying a predetermined delay time, an AND gate 28 inputting the lower 1 bit output from a noise shaper and the output control signal CS of the rising/falling edge detector, and a selector 32 for inputting the ANDed signal of the output control signal and lower 1 bit by the AND gate, and selecting the PWM output signal and the PWM output delay signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
