Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PWM output device that is formed in a simple and inexpensive circuit configuration and is ready for on-off control at a high switching frequency and fine adjustment of a duty ratio.SOLUTION: The PWM output device includes: a signal output section 11 for outputting an arbitrary signal; a counter section 12 for detecting a counter value as an output time of the signal output from the signal output section 11; a data acquisition section 13 for detecting a data value as a signal value of the signal output from the signal output section 11; and an on-off control section 14 for controlling on/off a PWM signal on the basis of the data value and the counter value. The on-off control section 14 divides a value obtained by multiplying the counter value by the data value by a maximum value that at least either of the counter value and the data value can assume to calculate a remainder value, comparing a sum value obtained by adding the data value to the calculated remainder value with an arbitrary threshold, and turning on the PWM signal if the sum value is larger than the threshold and turning off the PWM signal if the sum value is not larger than the threshold.
