To provide a new compound capable of regulating the cyclic guanosine monophosphate(cGMP) productivity of organism and useful for the treatment and prevention of diseases caused by the cGMP equilibrium disturbance such as hypertension and stenocardia.
The objective compound is expressed by formula I (X is O, S or the like; R1 and R1a are each H, a halogen or the like; R2 and R3 are each H, a 1-10C alkyl or the like; R4 is H, a 6-14C aryl or the like; (n) is 0-2; R4 is not H when (n) is zero), its stereoisomer, mixture of the isomers and their salts, e.g. 1-benzyl-3-(5-((2-hydroxyethoxy)carbonyl)-2-furyl)indazole. The compound of formula I can be produced e.g. by reacting a compound of formula II (R1', R1a', R2' and R3' are each R1, R1a, R2 and R3 and these functional groups may be present in a protected form or in the form of a precursor; R2 and R3 do not form an aromatic ring together with bonded C atom) with a compound of formula III (R4' is R4 and the functional group may be present in a protected form, etc.).
