PURPOSE: To provide novel derivatives which exhibit excellent anti-bacterial activities and low toxicity and have activities to bacteria exhibiting resistance to various antibiotics and are useful for therapeutics and prophylaxis of bacteria infection.
CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula I [wherein R1 is H, a 1-4C alkyl optionally substituted by a halogen or the like; R2 is H or CH3; R3 is H or a 1-4C alkyl; R4 is H, (5-methyl-2-oxo-1,3-dioxol-4-yl)-methyl or the like; X1 is H or a halogen; Z is formula II or formula III (wherein R7 is H, hydroxyl or the like; R8 is H, cyclopropyl or the like; and R9 is H or CH3) or the like] and salts thereof, e.g. 9-fluoro-3-methyl-10-(2-oxa-5,8-diazabicyclo[4,3,0]nonane-8-yl)-7- oxo-2,3-dihydro-7H-pyrido[1,2,3-d,e] [1,3,4]-benzooxadiazine-6-carboxylic acid. The compounds are obtd. e.g. by reacting a compd. of formula IV with a compd. of formula V.
