NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I [either one of R1 and R2 is H, lower alkyl or aralkyl and the other is formula II or formula III (Q is 1-8C alkylene; R5 and R6 are H, halogen, lower alkyl, etc.; R7 is H, OH, lower alkyl or phenyl); R3 and R4 are H, alkyl, phenyl or aralkyl or R3 and R4 are both 3-5C alkylene which may both bonded to form 5-7 membered ring together with two carbons of pyrimidine ring].
EXAMPLE: 3-[2-[4-(4-Fluorobenzoyl)piperidine-1-yl]ethyl]-5-phenyl-2,4(1H, 3H)- pyrimidine dione.
USE: A preventive and remedy for circulatory disease such a ischemic heart disease or cerebro-vascular accident and remedy for depression or schizophrenia.
PREPARATION: A compound expressed by formula IV (either one of R1' and R2' is H, lower alkyl, etc., and the other is H) is reacted with a piperidine derivative expressed by formula V or formula VI (X is halogen, etc.) in the presence of a base.
