PURPOSE: To make the characteristic of an element group uniform by a method wherein a plurality of pyroelectric heat-detection elements and impedance transformation circuits in the same number are installed.
CONSTITUTION: In an infrared sensor 11 which is constituted of a pyroelectric thermal-image-detection element group, six pyroelectric heat-detection elements 1a to 1f are arranged on a straight line. A board 2 supports the individual detection elements 1a to 1f, and a circuit board 3 supports impedance transfortnation circuits whose number is the same as the heat-detection elements la to 1f. The board 2 is supported by the board 3. The impedance transformation circuits are constituted of circuit elements 6a to 6f, 7a to 7f, and conductive patterns which adjust a characteristic such as sensitivity or the like are formed on the boards 2, 3. Then, an irregularity in the output characteristic of a pyrorlectric heat-detection element group can be adjusted arbitrarily by an electrostatic capacity, an electric resistance and an inductance which are generated by the conductive patterns. Thereby, an irregularity in the characteristic of the elements of their own and an irregularity in their sensitivity due to a mounting operation are adjusted by using a distributed constant, and the accuracy of the pyroelectric infrared sensor is enhanced.
