Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain mixed oxide powder having various functions by incorporating ≥2 metal oxides into the powder, subjecting the mixture to surface modulation with ≥1 organosilane and subjecting the mixture to a pyrogenical treatment.
SOLUTION: The ≥2 mixed oxides from SiO2, Al2O3, TiO2, ZrO2, Fe2O3, Nb2O5, V2O5, WO3, SnO2 and GeO2 are obtd. by vaporizing ≥2 metal chlorides selected from among SiCl4, AlCl3, TiCl4, ZrCl4, FeCL3, NbCl3, VOCl3, WOCl4, WCl6, SnCl4 and GeCl4, mixing these metal chlorides with hydrogen, air and/or oxygen in the mixing chamber and combusting the mixture in a reaction chamber. The mixed oxides are charged into a suitable mixing vessel and are subjected to a surface treatment by spraying ≥1 surface modifying organosilane. In succession, the mixed oxides are heat treated for 1 to 6 hours at 100 to 400°C, by which the pyrogenically prepd. surface-modified mixed oxides are obtd.
