Abstract:

To provide pyroligneous acid containing a product of thermal decomposition of Azadirachta indica, a method for producing the same, and an exterminator and a repellent which exhibit excellent insecticidal, bactericidal, or repelling effect on pests such as termites, aphids, ants, mites, or mold or animals such as cats, stray dogs, crows, and snakes.

The pyroligneous acid comprises a product of thermal decomposition of Azadirachta indica. A method for producing the same is provided. The pest and animal exterminator and repellent have the pyroligneous acid as an active principle.
