To provide a new quadraxial woven fabric having no difference between the face and the back, and to provide a method for weaving the same.

In this quadraxial woven fabric, the face and the back of the fabric are each composed of diagonal threads 3, 4, the interlayer is composed of the weft 2, and the warp 1 is entwined with the diagonal threads 3, 4 of the face and the back, so that the weaves on the face and the back show the same weave pattern. The method for weaving the quadraxial woven fabric comprises making the face 11 made of a diagonal thread surface and the back 12 made of another diagonal thread surface always form a picking shed 13 for the weft 2 by use of a pair of diagonal thread-traversing means 10 so that the face and the back of the fabric are each composed of diagonal threads 3, 4, then picking the weft 2 into the shed 13 so that the intermediate layer C is formed, and further entwining the warp 1a, 1b with the face 11 or the back 12 composed of the diagonal threads by use of healds 14 for the warp of the face or healds 15 for the warp of the back so that the quadraxial woven fabric shows the same weave on the face and the back.
