Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quadrupedal toy having a simple structure to enable downsizing, allowing a user to play with it on a horizontal plane without any need of an inclined surface or a weight, being quickly movable and unlikely to overturn, richly changing movements, and having a reassemblable play element.SOLUTION: The quadrupedal toy includes: a pair of drive legs 6 that are alternately and forcibly thrust in the longitudinal direction by drive means 8; and a pair of dummy legs 10 that swing like a pendulum about a horizontal support 19 disposed orthogonally to a progressing direction, in the longitudinal direction by dead weight, where the quadrupedal toy walks with the dummy legs 11 moving back and forth, while swinging a trunk body in the horizontal direction and longitudinal direction by the drive of the drive legs 6. Bodies 2 and 2' comprise: a drive unit 3 incorporating the drive means 8 and the drive legs 6; and a dummy unit 4 incorporating the dummy legs 10. The drive unit 3 and the dummy unit 4 are mutually independent and separable blocks, and rotatably connected by a connecting shaft 5. The dummy unit 4 and the drive unit 3 are rotated about the connecting shaft 5 relative to each other to be twisted.
