Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the output voltage by preventing interference of the AC voltage with the DC voltage generation unit, in a quadruple mass spectroscope in which a small amplitude AC voltage ±acosωt is applied to each electrode of a quadruple mass filter so as to bring a quadruple electrical field close an ideal state.SOLUTION: In a quadruple drive unit, a filter 151 for attenuating an AC voltage acosωt in both directions is provided on a signal path between a voltage superposition unit 141 and a DC positive voltage generation unit 111. Furthermore, a voltage ±a'cos(ωt+Δ) generated by performing amplitude attenuation and phase adjustment in an amplitude phase adjustment circuit 161 is added between the filter 151 and the DC positive voltage generation unit 111. The voltage thus added is the same voltage as the voltage component passed through the voltage superposition unit 141 and the filter 151 having a phase shift of just 180°, and thereby they are cancelled. Consequently, interference with the DC positive voltage generation unit 111 by leakage of a small amplitude AC voltage can be reduced.
