To provide a quality control system of signature which can shorten the time required for signature inspection, and thereby can improve quality control by ensuring the specification of a bundle of the fold sections including a defective one.

This quality control system of signature comprises the following components: (1) conveyors 1, 2 and 3 for conveying a group of fold sections, (2) a counter which can count the fold sections to be conveyed on the conveyor (1, 2 and 3), (3) a bundle preparation part which prepares the specified number of bundled fold sections in accordance with a count signal of the counter, (4) a bundling part for tying up the bundle of fold sections using a tying band, (5) a signature sampling device 5 which samples a fold section per each signature bundle from a row of the fold sections to be conveyed on the conveyor, according to the count signal, (6) a first marking device which marks first identification information serving for identifying each fold section on each of the fold sections sampled by the signature sampling device 5, and (7) a second marking device for marking second identification information which is related to the first identification information and can identify each bundle of the fold sections on each tying band for tying each bundle of the fold sections from which the fold section is sampled.
