Title:
QUANTITATIVE EVALUATION METHOD OF FUEL VAPORIZATION STATE IN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2017072544
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quantitative evaluation method of fuel vaporization state in an internal combustion engine capable of determining an index of evaluation of vaporization state of fuel in a cylinder as well as quantitatively evaluating a vaporized state of fuel.SOLUTION: The quantitative evaluation method of fuel vaporization state in an internal combustion engine includes the steps of: creating difference images between reference images and overtime images excluding the reference image with respect to the overtime images in a cylinder; extracting brightness components considered as fuel from each of the difference images; and evaluating a vaporized state of fuel injected into the cylinder based on changes over time in the number of pixels of the extract brightness components. Thus, the vaporized state of fuel injected into the cylinder can be quantitatively evaluated by determining the changes over time in the number of pixels of the extracted brightness components, in other words, the vaporization speed of fuel as the evaluate index of the vaporization state of the fuel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
