There are provided the quantitative and qualitative device X of equol is constituted by successively providing a sample introducing part 10 for introducing a specimen and a label bound body (d) wherein a label (b) is bound to an equol binding substance (c), a developing means 20 equipped with a first detection part 21 capable of permitting a liquid sample containing the specimen and the label bound body (d) to pass and supporting an equol like substance (e) immunospecifically bound to the label bound body (d) and a second detection part 22 for supporting a capturing substance (g) for binding an equol composite (f) or the label bound body (d) and a water absorbing part 30 for absorbing a liquid on a substrate 40 in this order in a contact state in order to quantify or qualify equol (a) in the specimen, the quantitative and qualitative kit of equol equipped with the quantitative and qualitative device X of equol, and the equol quantifying method utilizing the quantitative and qualitative device X of equol.
