Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a quantitative supply apparatus for abrasive liquid used to supply abrasive liquid for grinding an end face of the connector of an optical fiber, in which the precipitation and separation of an abrasive powder material in an elastic accommodation hollow-cylinder member are prevented and the clogging of the nozzle is thereby prevented to enable accurate supply of the abrasive liquid in a fixed amount to a rotary grinding table of a grinding machine.

CONSTITUTION: A rise/fall member 3 is provided, for free rise and fall, to a main frame member 1 along guide rods 4. A carrier unit 10 is provided to this rise/fall member 3 so as to make horizontal reciprocating movement along guide rods 8. A vertical reception portion 10a is vertically formed in the carrier unit 10 and a pair of ear pieces 13a, 13b are equipped to the upper side and lower side of the carrier unit 10. An elastic accommodation hollowcylinder member 14 is provided to the ear pieces in a condition of being vertically retained to permit an abrasive liquid to be filled therein. A nozzle 15 is equipped to this elastic accommodation hollow-cylinder member 14. A pressing plate 19 is provided to the carrier unit 10 in such a manner as to horizontally reciprocate along a guide rod 17 and press the elastic accommodation hollow-cylinder member 14 jointly with the vertical reception portion 10a.
