Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the fuel injection cut by increasing the stroke of a valve element when the valve is opened, in comparison with the ordinary case, without utilizing the pressure of the fuel which flows into a low pressure chamber from a high pressure chamber when the valve is opened.

CONSTITUTION: As for a solenoid valve 32 which is constituted so that a spool 54 for opening and closing a fuel passage 34 is energized in the valve opening direction by the first spring 56, while in the valve closing direction, by the second spring 64, and the energizing force of the second spring 64 is regulated so that the opening degree in the ordinary case is set at the initial opening degree through the contact between an energizing force transmission member 66 and a projection 62a, a rod-shaped projection 74 is formed on the energizing force transmission member 66, and an accommodation hole 76 for accommodating the rod-shaped projection 74 in a slidable manner and an introducing hole 78 for introducing the fuel in the fuel passage 34 into the accommodation hole 76 are formed on the spool 54. Accordingly, when the valve is closed, the energizing force transmission member 66 is pushed up by the high pressure fuel in a pressure chamber 16, and the spool 54 is largely raised in comparison with the ordinary case, immediately after the valve opening.
